The life and times of a family can change in a heart beat. Who knows what you will find, where you will go, what will happen. But this one is my life.

This is the rooster Bill found in our back yard. We don't know where it came from. But it spent part of a day struting around like it owned the place.
Eventually we called animal control. A lady came out and eventually caught the rooster. She used kibble to lure him in. Then she caught him in a net. She said if nobody claimed him she was going to take him home. She had hens but no rooster. I'm sure he would be thrilled living at her place.
She did mention that a family, a couple of streets over (a bit of a ways away) had up and left. They had basically abandonded the place they were living at and left the animals there to fend for themselves. She said it was possible that was where he was from. They had received no calls about a missing rooster. Who knows?

We purchased the bowl at the Murano glass factory in Murano Italy. My husband and I had gone to visit Venice and the Murano glass factory is on an island just a short boat ride from Venice. They had some bowls available for sale. We wanted one with particular colors in a particular order. So we requested this bowl be made for us. They made it then shipped it to us. It is very lovely.
Beneath the bowl is a piece of lace work. Another island near Venice is Burano. This island is known for two major itens - its lace work, and that no two homes near each other are painted the same color. They say they are painted that way so that men know which house is their's when they come home after drinking. That's what they say.

My sister and I went to the Caribbean in Sept. 2011. We did a cruise that began and ended in Puerto Rico. On one island we took an excursion that took us to this beach. We had a lovely lunch, listened to music, played in the sand, some people swam in the warm waters. And one couple sat beneath this colorful umbrella.
